Wix Slider Gallery: How To Add Slider To Wix

To add a slider to Wix, access your Wix website editor. Then, click on add elements from the left-hand side panel.

Select interactive, and then select either a full width slideshow or a box slideshow. I'll select a full width slideshow and then drag and drop that option onto our Wix website editor.

To use this slideshow as a Wix slider gallery, from the slider individual toolbar, click on manage slides up top. From here, you're able to view all of the available slides - slide one, slide two, and slide three.

Click on the three little dots next to any of these slides to rename that slide, duplicate that slide, or delete that slide. Or if you wish, click on add new slide at the bottom to create an entirely new slide.

You can then click on change slide background to change that to another color, image, or video. Let's click on image, on media from Wix, and use the search bar to search for exercise. Then select one of the available options and click on change background.

You can also add additional elements to the slide including text. Let's click on add heading to drag and drop it to the appropriate location, double click on it, and add some applicable text.

From the Wix slider's individual toolbar, we can also click on settings to head back to the manage slides options where you were previously. Select whether the Wix slider gallery autoplays on loading or not. If you do select the autoplay option, choose how long between slides in number of seconds, as well as whether you wish to stop autoplay on hover or not.

You can also apply transition effects including none, vertical, horizontal, crossfade, or in and out. And choose how long that transition effect lasts in number of seconds. You can also select whether you wish to hide content outside frame or not.

Under layout, we can select navigation options for your Wix slider including the option to show navigation arrows or not, the size of those navigation arrows and offset, as well as whether you wish to show slide buttons or not. If you do decide to show slide buttons, you can then select those buttons size, offset, and spacing.

Under design, you can choose your slideshow design from the available options. Depending on the option you choose, we can then choose the fill color and opacity of the slide buttons, selected button, arrow background, and navigation arrows.

Once you're done customizing your Wix slider, click on preview up top to view your Wix slider in action. You can toggle these buttons to view all of the available slides. And if you enjoy what your Wix slider looks like, you can click on publish on the top right-hand side to make your changes active.
