Wix Freebie: Add Your Freebie PDF To Wix For Download For Your Subs - Wix Email Marketing Tutorial

To add your freebie PDF to Wix for download for your subscribers, you'll first need to access an email marketing platform such as ConvertKit. To create a form with the freebie in ConvertKit, click on "Grow" from the panel up top, and then on "Landing Pages and Forms."

Click on "Create New," and then on "Form." Choose the display format of this form - in our case, I'll select "Inline" from the options that populate.

Choose one of the form templates - I'll select this first option by clicking on "Choose." Feel free to click on any of these existing elements to customize them further.

This includes the image, where you can click on either "Edit" or "Replace" to change the image, the text where you can then change the font color, font size, and font weight, as well as on the button where you can change the font color, background color, border radius, and font weight.

You can also click on the plus icon that appears to add additional fields to your opt-in form. I'll select from this popup "First Name." Click to make it required, and then drag and drop it so that it appears above the email address.

Once you're done customizing the appearance of your opt-in form, click on "Settings" up top. Since we want to send a freebie from Wix using this opt-in form, click on "Incentive."

Make sure that "Send Incentive Email" is toggled to "On," and then click on "Edit Email Contents." Feel free to customize the email subject line as well as the email message to look and say what you wish, and then click on "Save."

In order to send your new subscribers the freebie, click on "Download," and then choose a file from your files. Choose the freebie you want to share with your subscribers, and then click on "Open."

Once it has uploaded to ConvertKit, click on "Save." In order to add this opt-in form to your Wix website so that your subscribers can download the freebie, click on "Publish" on the top right-hand side. Select "HTML," and then copy the code that appears.

Now, let's head over to our Wix website editor, and then click on the "Pages" drop-down menu on the top left-hand side. Click on "Manage Pages," "Add Menu Item," and "New Page," and then on "Blank Page" to create a new page where we'll be embedding this opt-in form from ConvertKit with a Wix freebie you want to share.

Now, click on "Add Elements" from the left-hand side panel, "Embed Code," and then on "Embed HTML." Under the HTML settings popup that appears, make sure that "Code" is selected, and then paste the code from ConvertKit in the space provided.

Click on "Update" at the bottom. If we exit out of this HTML settings popup, we'll be able to view the opt-in form within our Wix website.

As you can see, we're only able to see an image rather than the opt-in form itself with a freebie. So make sure to resize and reposition this HTML box so that everything is apparent.

Once you can see your entire opt-in form, click on "Publish" on the top right-hand side to make your changes active. Now, if we head over to this page and fill out the form and then check your email, you'll be able to confirm your subscription and then receive the freebie that you had added which your Wix website visitors can now download to their computer.
