Typography Design Tutorial In Canva

To create custom typography in Canva, log into your Canva account and then open up a design of your choice. Click on "Apps" from the left-hand side panel, and then in the search bar, type in "Typography." Click on "Text Art" and then on "Open with Text Art."

All you need to do is type in your text and describe a style to create text art. Where it says "Text," type in what you want to create text art out of. Two to six characters work best, and 10 characters is the maximum.

Let's type in "Typography." Where it says "Art Description," type in what you want this typography to look like. Some suggestions include "Bread" and "Ocean Waves." Let's type in "Spikes."

As you can see here at the bottom, with Text Art, you have two credits. You get two credits every day, and you can see here up top how many credits are left today. Once you are happy with the Text Art options that you inserted to create typography, go ahead and click on "Generate."

Text Art will then craft what your text will look like. Please wait, as this can take a few moments.

Just like with any regular Canva design, you can then increase this text, which says "Typography" and has spikes. You can also add additional elements to your design if you wish to customize it further.

Once you're happy with how your typography looks, make sure to rename your design up top, such as to "Typography Tutorial," and then click on "Share," "Download," and then on "Download" again after customizing these settings to save your typography design to your computer.
