To scan a document with your iPhone, head over to your Notes app and then click on the bottom right-hand side to create a new note. Click on the camera icon at the bottom and then choose the option to scan documents.
Position the document in view, such as this photo over here. As you can see, everything that is within this yellow area over here will be taken a picture of automatically by the iPhone.
We can retake the photo if we didn't enjoy the scan that the iPhone automatically took. You can also click on the options at the bottom to delete the file, rotate the file, add a filter to the file (including color, grayscale, black and white, and photo), or crop the file to the size of your choice.
Once you're happy with the scan you took with your iPhone, click on "Done" and then on "Done" again on the top left-hand side. Feel free to take more scans if you wish, and when you're ready, click on "Save."
You can then click on the arrow pointing downward, next to where it says "Scan Documents," to take a quick look at the document, share it, save it to your files, print it, copy it, rename it, or delete it. Let's click on "Rename" and name it "Scanned Document Demo," then click on "Save."
If you want to see all the available pages within the scanned document, click on the icon on the top right-hand side of the scanned document and then flip between the pages. You can then click on the three little dots within that page to copy it, rotate it left, rotate it right, add a filter to it, crop the page, insert a blank page, insert from file, scan more pages, or delete the page.
To share the scanned document from your iPhone with other people, click on the downward-pointing arrow, click on "Share," and then share the scanned document with your contacts, via AirDrop, Messages, Mail, Journal, Freeform, Kindle, WhatsApp, Threads, Messenger, ChatGPT, Skype, or other options. You can also click to copy the scanned document, print it, or save it to files.
Once you're done, just head back to your notes and click on that note to open it back up.
