Favicon Canva: How To Create A Favicon In Canva - Step-By-Step Guide

To create a favicon in Canva, log into your Canva account and then use the search bar to search for favicon. Click on the favicon logo option that populates.

From here, you're able to browse a number of Canva favicon logo templates. Once you've located a Canva favicon template that you enjoy, such as this one over here, click on it and then click on "Customize this template" to customize the Canva favicon template further.

Just like with any regular Canva design, you can click on the existing elements on the screen to customize them. For example, we can click on the image to then edit the image, crop it, flip it, view its info, change its border style, add an animation to it, change its position, transparency, copy the style, or lock it.

We can also click on the text to change its font, font size, color, appearance, bold, italic, underline, or strike through, toggle whether we want to make it uppercase or not, change its alignment, add it to a list, change its spacing, add an effect to it, add an animation to it, change its position, transparency, and access more options, including the option to copy style and lock it.

So let's go ahead and customize this over here to make the Canva favicon look the way we wish. Let's first click on the image and then on "Edit image."

From here, you're able to add a number of filters to this image. Let's go ahead and add this Trace filter to make it more attention-grabbing.

We can then click on the text and then on the font option from the white panel up top to change its font to something else. We can click on the Color Picker to change its color to one of the palette colors and we can double-click on the text to change what it says.

We can repeat the same process with this other text box over here. We can double-click on it, change the font to something else, change the text color to one of the other palette colors, increase the size to make it even more legible, add an effect to it so there's more contrast, and double-click on the text box to change what the text says.

Just like with any regular Canva design, we can then click on the options from the left-hand side panel to add additional elements, text, uploads, or even photos to your Canva favicon design. Once you're done customizing what this Canva favicon looks like, rename your Canva design up top and then click on "Share" from the top right-hand side.

Click on "Download," select the file type, size, and any options that you wish, and then click on "Download" again to save your Canva favicon to your computer.
