Canva Tutorial: How To Download A Graphic Or Photo In Canva

Wondering how to download a graphic or photo in Canva? In this easy Canva tutorial for beginners, you'll learn how to use Canva to its fullest extent. So let's get right into this how to Canva graphic design tutorial, which is full of Canva tips and Canva tricks.

First off, if you don’t have a Canva account yet, just click on the link in the description box below to sign up for free. There are a number of ways that you can download a graphic or photo in Canva.

After you've signed in to your Canva account, click on 'all your designs' on the left-hand side, hover your mouse over the graphic or photo you wish to download, click on the three little dots on the top, right-hand side of your design, and then on 'download'. Select the file type, either PNG, JPG, PDF standard, PDF print, MP4 video or GIF, and then click on 'download' again at the bottom.

You can also download a graphic or photo in Canva by clicking on it, and then on the downward pointing arrow on the top, right-hand side. Just as before, select the file type, either PNG, JPG, PDF standard, PDF print, SVG, MP4 video or GIF, and depending on the file type that you choose, select additional options as well.

For instance, if you select PNG, which is a high quality image, select the size, if you wish to save the Canva design with a transparent background or not, if you wish to compress the file or not, which are Canva Pro features, which you can try out for free by clicking on the link in the description box below, and if you wish to save download settings or not, and then click on 'download' again at the bottom.

If you select JPG, which is a small file size image, select the size, quality, and if you wish to save download settings or not, and then click on 'download' again at the bottom.

If you select PDF standard, which is a small file size, multi-page document, select if you wish to save download settings or not, and then click on 'download' again at the bottom.

If you select PDF print, which is a high quality, multi-page document, select if you wish to crop marks and bleed or not, and if you wish to save download settings or not, and then click on 'download' again at the bottom.

If you select SVG, which are sharp vector graphics at any size, select if you wish to save the Canva design with a transparent background or not, which is a Canva Pro feature, which you can try out for free by clicking on the link in the description box below, and if you wish to save download settings or not, and then click on 'download' again at the bottom.

If you select MP4 video, which is a high quality video, select if you wish to save download settings or not, and then click on 'download' again at the bottom.

If you select GIF, which is a short clip, with no sound, select if you wish to save download settings or not, and then click on 'download' again at the bottom.

Another way you can download a graphic or photo in Canva is by locating a Canva design you created a while back, without having to scroll through all of your designs. Use the search bar up top to locate any Canva design you created by name, such as the thumbnail to the video on 'how to use Canva'. From the filter options that appear up top, click on 'your designs', and then click on the Canva design you wish to download.

Just like we did before, click on download on the top, right-hand side, select the file type, either PNG, JPG, PDF standard, PDF print, SVG, MP4 video or GIF, and depending on the file type that you choose, select additional options as well. Once you're done selecting all of the download settings, click on 'download' at the bottom again to save your graphic or photo from Canva to your computer.

If your design has multiple pages, like this one, select the pages you wish to download. You can either download page one and then page 2, or save both at the same time to save them to a zipped folder, which you can then open. If you're saving a video which has multiple pages, you can save just one page to save that as a video, or save multiple pages at the same time to group all of the pages into a longer video.
