Canva Gradient Color: How To Make Gradient In Canva

To make a gradient in Canva, log into your Canva account and either open up an existing design you want to add a gradient to or click on a new design you want to create, such as social media and then Instagram post. Click on your design at large and then on the Color Picker from the white panel up top.

When you place your cursor over one of the color squares, you'll be able to access the filters for that color. This will lead you to a panel where you can either select a solid color or a gradient. Let's go ahead and select gradient.

The first option that you have is to select the gradient colors. Let's click on the first color and either drag and drop our cursor to another color of our choice, take a color from the design, or enter the color hex code in the space provided.

Now let's click on the second color and do the same thing, either drag and drop our cursor to another color of our choice, enter a hex code, or pick a color from the design. You're not limited to only two gradient colors; you can also click to add a new gradient color to your design.

Now that we've selected all of the gradient colors we want to add to our Canva design, let's go ahead and select the gradient style. This includes the linear gradient 90°, the linear gradient at 180°, the linear gradient at 135°, the circular gradient at 50° and 50°, or the circular gradient at 0° and 0°. I'll select this last gradient style and then click outside of the design to X out of this gradient toolbox.

Just like with any regular Canva design, you can add any other options to your Canva design, including elements, text, photos, audio, and more. Once you're done adding your gradient in Canva, make sure to rename your design up top and then click on "Share" on the top right-hand side.

Click on "Download," ensure that the file type is the one that you wish as well as the size and other available options, and then click on "Download" again to save the gradient that you created in Canva to your computer.
