Can You Make Money With Webinars? How To Make Money With Webinars

Wondering "can you make money with webinars"? In this webinar marketing strategy tutorial, you'll learn webinar secrets on how to make money with webinars. So let's get right into this webinars for business video on how to sell on webinars and how to monetize a webinar.

You most definitely can make money with webinars, and there are 2 ways to make money with webinars: by creating a paid webinar, where those who want to attend the webinar need to pay to watch, and by creating a free webinar that directly links to an offer you'll make at the end of the webinar.

You can create a paid webinar using a free marketing tool, such as YouTube live, and send an invoice with a checkout page software, such as SamCart, to those who wish to attend the webinar. As I mentioned in my video on 'How To Use YouTube Live For Webinars', if you haven't watched that yet, I'll leave the link to it in the description box below, you can add just specific invitees to the webinar, which in this case, are those who purchased the paid webinar.

You can also use an online course platform, such as Podia, to sell webinars, by using their YouTube live integration on their Mover plan, or by using their integration with Zoom on their Shaker and Earthquaker plans.

If you plan on creating a free webinar instead of a paid webinar, you can make money with webinars by offering a paid product or service at the end, which takes what you taught during the free portion of the webinar to the next level.

The best part is that you don't need to have a product or service to make money with webinars. In fact, the most successful webinars turn this idea on its head, and use the webinar to validate a product or service idea that you have. Rather than focusing on the product or service, where a sale isn't guaranteed, you focus on the audience. Here's how to do that:

Create a webinar on a topic that you plan on creating a product or service on, and try to get as many people in your target audience as possible to sign up. See how many people register and are actually interested in your webinar topic. After you've taught highly valuable content for free for about 30-45 minutes during the webinar, which is the dropoff point where people start to sign off and do something else, presell your product or service idea. This will be at a lower price than compared to your actual launch, but this is how you gauge interest for your offer.

If people purchased your offer during the webinar, you have a solid offer, validated your idea, and successfully started making money with webinars. If no one buys, it doesn't really make a difference, since you haven't spent time and money creating the product or service.

Pay attention to the questions those who attended the webinar asked and the comments they made while you were teaching, and host the webinar again by incorporating this feedback, until you start making sales. Then you can actually start creating the product or service and do your launch with webinars to make money with webinars.

If you don't want to sell your own product or service during a webinar, you can still make money with webinars. Although I've hosted webinars myself to promote my own products and services, such as this one on 'How To 3x Your Blog's Traffic Without Expensive Software Or Ads', the PinPerfect webinar I mentioned earlier was an affiliate webinar.

This means that I didn't create the product that was being offered at the end of the webinar, Pinterest Popular, or create the webinar slides, Nadalie did, but that I'm an affiliate helping her promote her webinar and product. I sent out emails promoting the webinar, and promoted the webinar on social media, all with my affiliate link. I then earned a commission on the sale of those who purchased the product at the end of the webinar.

You can do the same by promoting an affiliate service you use by doing a tutorial on how you use a piece of software, technology or program. For instance, there are a number of softwares that I use day to day in my business and create content about, such as Wix and Canva.

Think about which of these tools and services you use in your business. You can then create a webinar showing how to do something using that platform, such as how to create a website in Wix or how to use Canva to its fullest extent, and share your affiliate link to those platforms, so that you earn a commission from those who signup, and thus make money with webinars.

Independent of how you choose to make money with webinars, be it by selling your own product or service, selling someone else's product or service, or teaching how to use a piece of software, technology or program to gain sales commission, one of the very best ways to make money with webinars is through a post-webinar email sequence.

Here's an interesting fact: over 50% of your webinar sales will be made after the webinar is over, so although it’s important to pitch a product, service or software during the live webinar, it’s also vital that you have a webinar email sales funnel where those who couldn't attend the webinar live, or those who did attend the webinar but didn't make a purchase, have a limited time, usually 48 hours, to watch the webinar replay and make a purchase.
