How To Write An Epic 7-Day Webinar Sales Funnel With Ease

Here’s how to write an epic 7-day webinar sales funnel that’s effective at boosting your bottom line without being pushy or sales-y!

Here’s a hard fact: over 50% of your webinar sales will be made AFTER the webinar is over. That’s why it’s vital to create a webinar sales funnel that’s guaranteed to transform your webinar registrants into paying customers. Roll up your sleeves and get ready to write an epic 7-day webinar sales funnel that’s effective at boosting your bottom line without being pushy or sales-y!

Email #1: Webinar Replay

When: the morning after the webinar.

What: you should send two iterations of the ‘webinar replay’ sales funnel email: one to the webinar live attendees, and one to the webinar registrants.

The ‘webinar replay’ sales funnel email for the webinar live attendees should mention:

  • How fun the webinar was

  • That the webinar replay will go down in 48 hours

  • The total value vs. investment of your course’s limited-time bonus package

  • Who the limited time offer is for

  • The results they'll get once they take your course

… as well as include multiple links to the webinar replay.

The ‘webinar replay’ sales funnel email for the webinar registrants should mention:

  • That you were anxiously waiting for their live appearance, but they didn’t show up

  • That not only you are giving them access to a 48 hour webinar replay, but also the chance to grab your fast action bonus (that was reserved for webinar live attendees only) until midnight

  • A summary of what you talked about during the webinar (this should be the same as what you included in the registration page)

How: when using a powerful email marketing tool like ConvertKit, it’s easy to differentiate your webinar live attendees from your webinar registrants. First off, every person who registers for your webinar should be tagged as a webinar registrant. If they attend the webinar live, have ConvertKit automatically switch their tag from webinar registrant to live attendee by creating a custom link trigger.

Also, those who purchased your course live on the webinar should receive the ‘webinar replay’ sales funnel email for the webinar live attendees. You should remove them from all webinar sales funnel emails after that.

Bonus: send an email with the webinar replay to your entire email list, and remove the webinar registrants and webinar live attendees from that email. Create another custom link trigger in ConvertKit so that everyone who clicks on the webinar replay link is tagged as a live attendee. This is an easy way to boost the number of people who watch your webinar, and who can thus become a paying customer!

** Although I mention a limited-time bonus package for your course in this webinar sales funnel sequence, you can replace that to any other kind of offer that you're selling in your webinar (live workshop, membership site, etc.)

Email #2: Webinar Replay Coming Down

When: 24 hours after the last email.

What: The ‘webinar replay coming down’ sales funnel email should mention:

  • That your audience can get results if they do the work

  • That they only have 24 hours to watch the webinar replay and get your course’s limited-time bonus package

  • How your course will stop them from wasting time, money and energy on the wrong tactics

  • How good their life could be once they take your course and get the results they seek

… as well as include multiple links to the webinar replay.

Email #3: New Bonus Added

When: 24 hours after the last email.

What: The ‘new bonus added’ sales funnel email should mention:

  • That not only will they get your course’s limited-time bonus package that you had mentioned, but also a NEW bonus if they make a purchase by midnight

  • An explanation of what that bonus is and how it will benefit them

  • That the webinar replay is going down at midnight, along with the new bonus

  • What has been holding them back and ask them why they haven’t taken action yet

  • What they will learn in each module of the course

… as well as include multiple links to the webinar replay.

Email #4: How Other Courses Compare

When: 24 hours after the last email.

What: The ‘how other courses compare’ sales funnel email should mention:

  • The main differences between your course and that of others on the same topic, in a way that clearly targets your audience’s pain points

  • Your money-back guarantee

  • The choices that they have at the moment (outsource and pay more, do it themselves and take forever, or take your course and get results fast)

Email #5: Common Mistakes

When: 24 hours after the last email.

What: The ‘common mistakes’ sales funnel email should mention:

  • A strategy (or strategies) you have tried in the past that didn’t work, and how your course solves that

  • A glimpse into your struggles (tell your story)

  • The results they'll get once they take your course

  • The results 1-3 of your past students got (testimonials)

Email #6: What’s Holding You Back?

When: 24 hours after the last email.

What: The ‘what’s holding you back’ sales funnel email should mention:

  • That you know what it’s like to be in their shoes

  • A visualization of what their life could be like once they take your course and get the results they seek

  • The things that have been holding them back until now, and why they shouldn’t be since your course targets all of them

  • That they can do this (provide extra motivation)

Email #7: Ending Tonight

When: 22 hours after the last email.

What: The ‘ending tonight’ sales funnel email should mention:

  • That enrollment to the course closes tonight

  • The results they'll get once they take your course

  • FAQs that address all of their possible concerns and hesitations

  • The results 1-3 of your past students got (testimonials)

Email #8: Last Chance

When: 9 hours after the last email.

What: The ‘ending tonight’ sales funnel email should mention:

  • The results you got in a certain time frame so that they see how getting results themselves is really possible (tell your story of transformation)

  • That they could wait until a better time or until they have more money, but that the best time to start is now

  • What they’ll get when they enroll in your course

  • That tonight is their last chance to get your course’s limited-time bonus package

Email #9: Final Countdown

When: 3 hours after the last email.

What: The ‘final countdown’ sales funnel email should mention:

  • That they only have 3 hours to decide if they will join or not

  • What their life could be like once they take your course and get the results they seek

  • The results 1-3 of your past students got (testimonials)

… as well as include a countdown timer.
