How To Create A Fillable PDF Form For FREE. In this video you’ll discover how to edit a PDF file to create a fillable PDF form for free. This is perfect if you’ve created a PDF worksheet or a PDF guide for your clients, subscribers or audience, and want to give them a way to fill out that PDF worksheet online, from their own computer, by creating a fillable PDF for free.
First of all, if you don’t know how to create a PDF form, make sure you watch my video on how to design gorgeous lead magnets and PDFs in Canva.
Okay, so once you have that PDF form ready, open up your browser, and open up a site called PDF Escape, which is a free online PDF editor. Click on ‘free online’ on the left-hand side, and then click on ‘upload PDF to PDF Escape’, and click on ‘choose file’ to locate and open your existing PDF form that you want to make fillable.
Okay, so as you’ll notice, the PDF you created will open up in your browser. Let’s say I want to make this section over here fillable. To do so, all you have to do is click on ‘form field’ from the top, right-hand side, and then from the popup that appears, select ‘text paragraph’ from the dropdown menu, and then click ‘select’.
Now click and drag, so that your text paragraph box occupies the same space as the box you had previously created. If you made a mistake in the box’s size, you can resize it by placing your cursor on top of these black squares, and resizing the box so that it’s in the shape you want. You can edit the text’s font, size, appearance, and color, by editing these settings in this toolbar up top.
Once you’re satisfied with your box’s appearance, just click on this grey area around the PDF. To create a new fillable box, just repeat the same process we went through. To delete a box, just right click on it, and press delete object. When you’ve added all fillable form field sections to your PDF document, click on this green button on the left-hand side panel to save and download your PDF.
Now when you open it, you’ll see that everywhere you added the fillable form field, you can go ahead and fill it in right from your browser. And that’s it. Now you know how to create a fillable PDF form for free.
